The new Chelsea Football Club Official Ticket Exchange is now in action and available for supporters to use.

The Official Ticket Exchange benefits season ticket holders wishing to sell their seat for an individual game, and both season ticket holders and members buying a spare seat at Stamford Bridge.

The Exchange is a safe, legal and simple way for a season ticket holder not attending a fixture to pass their seat to another fan and recover the full pro-rata cost the match represents in their season ticket price. In practice that is the total season ticket price divided by 19, the number of home league games a season. 

It will only operate for Premier League games. Tickets can be sold on from 42 days before the fixture and it does not cost a Chelsea season ticket holder anything to use. 

Any season ticket or club member can purchase tickets from the Ticket Exchange at the same price they would pay were they buying a ticket from the box office, plus the standard £1.50 booking fee always charged when buying a match ticket. 

As the cost of a match ticket when it is calculated as a percentage of a season ticket’s price is in almost all cases less than the regular price a member pays for a seat in the same area of the ground, the additional money will be donated to the Chelsea FC Foundation, the club’s charity organisation which uses the power of sport to bring about positive changes in people's lives and their communities.

The aim of this scheme is to ensure as many of our fans can attend a match as possible and for every seat at Stamford Bridge to be occupied.

The new Chelsea FC Ticket Exchange is a fair and straightforward way to ensure tickets do not go to waste, and financially it is an improvement on the previous exchange for all supporters who use the service.

Ticket Exchange FAQs

What is the Ticket Exchange? 
The Ticket Exchange is a facility for season ticket holders who are unable to attend a match to sell their ticket to another season ticket holder or member in a safe, secure environment. 

How do I log in to the Exchange?
You log in by navigating to the Exchange via the website, then you need to enter your season ticket / membership number and your password will be set by default to your date of birth in the following format: DDMMYYYY.  

How do I sell my ticket?
You log in to the Ticket Exchange and select which match you would like to sell. It will then be available for purchase when the match goes on sale to members (approximately six weeks before the match).

How do I buy a ticket? 
You log in to the Ticket Exchange with your season ticket or membership number and select which match you would like to buy. Please note that tickets on the Exchange will go on sale at the same time and date that the box office goes on sale for the same fixture.  

What about my friends and family list?
Your friends and family list will carry over to the Exchange from your current season ticket or membership account. 

Can I change my address within the Exchange?
No, you need to update your address within your season ticket or membership account; this will automatically carry over to the Exchange.

Can I make a general sale purchase from the Exchange?
No, the Exchange is one of the benefits of becoming a season ticket holder or member.

How far in advance do tickets go on sale on the Exchange?
Tickets should go on sale approximately 42 days in advance to each match, please check the on-sale dates page on this website for specific selling dates.  

What is the latest time I can buy or sell a ticket on the Exchange? 
Ideally as early as possible to give your ticket more chance of selling; we will stop all transactions on the Exchange 48 hours before the time of the match in question.

Can I get a refund?
Unfortunately not, this is because we pay the season ticket holder for the ticket you have purchased from them.

I have purchased a ticket, will you post it?
If we believe you should receive the ticket/s in time then we will post it/them. If not it will be available for collection from the ticket office where you will need to provide your Team Card and confirmation email to collect the ticket.

Is there a booking / postage fee?
We charge £1.50 per ticket transaction fee and nothing more. 

How long does it take to receive money for a ticket I have sold?
The money should be paid in to your bank account within seven working days after the event date. 

Can I list more than one ticket together?
No, if you hold more than one season ticket, you will need to list them individually. 

Can I purchase two adult tickets in the East Stand lower tier?
Unfortunately not, you will need to purchase seats in this area as per our ticketing policy. This stipulates two adults for every junior ticket.

Can I remove my seat that I have advertised for sale?
Yes, you are able to remove the listing if your seat has not sold already.

Is there a contact number for the Ticket Exchange? 
We do not have a specific number for the Exchange; however you can speak to our box office staff about any related enquiries. The number is 0871 984 1905 (UK) / 0044 207 835 6000 (overseas). Please note that calls are charged at 13p per minute. 

Do I receive loyalty points for purchases from the Ticket Exchange?
Loyalty points are not allocated for any purchase from the Ticket Exchange.

What happens when the date of a match is changed after I have purchased or sold my ticket?
The original transaction remains in place, therefore the season ticket will be deactivated and the paper ticket allocated will be valid for the rearranged fixture. We are unable to issue refunds for paper tickets or reactivate season ticket cards. 

Can a disabled season ticket holder put their tickets on the Exchange?
If a disabled season ticket holder is unable to attend a match, they will need to return their tickets to Chelsea FC as per the ticketing policy.

Can a disabled season ticket holder / member purchase a non- disabled ticket?
Disabled season ticket holders / members can purchase non-disabled season tickets through the Exchange. As these are non-disabled season tickets they do not carry a personal assistant ticket and this will need to be purchased separately.

Will I receive a notification if my ticket has been sold?
Yes, you will receive a confirmation email to let you know that your ticket has been sold successfully. You will also receive an email to let you know that your tickets have not been sold should that be the case.

Will I receive a confirmation email of my purchase from the exchange?
Yes, we will send a confirmation email to the email address specified on your Chelsea FC membership. If you do not  receive this, please double check that you have given us the correct email address and it will also be advisable to check your spam / junk folder.
