Youth Cup: Newcastle or Tottenham in semi-final

Our Under-18s will face either Newcastle or Tottenham in the semi-final of the FA Youth Cup.

The competition becomes a two-legged format at this stage so Jody Morris’s side will play at Stamford Bridge and either St James’s Park or White Hart Lane as they continue their bid to win the trophy for a fourth year running.

Our youngsters travelled to the north-east in both 2013/14 and 2014/15 en-route to lifting the silverware, triumphing 3-2 and 3-0, the latter after extra-time. We last faced Tottenham in the semi-final two years ago, where Joe Edwards’s side overturned a 2-0 first-leg deficit to win 5-4 on aggregate.

The first leg will be played away, with the decisive return held back at the Bridge. Dates and ticket information for both legs will be announced on this website once our opponent is known. Newcastle host Tottenham on Monday 27 February. The other semi-final will see either Preston or Stoke face Aston Villa or Manchester City.
