Conte: We must have no regrets

Antonio Conte says his players will give everything this week to try to secure positive results in the pair of mouthwatering fixtures that await the Blues.

Tonight we face Roma in the Stadio Olimpico, and then on Sunday domestic football returns with a bang as Manchester United visit Stamford Bridge. The boss will not start looking ahead to that enticing Premier League encounter until his work is done in the Italian capital, and the same goes for his players.

‘There are two big games for us before the international break,’ Conte noted.

‘I like to repeat the most important thing for us is to go game by game, and the most important game for us now is against Roma. I don’t know what the final result will be but we have to put everything to try to get a good result.

‘It will be very important to have a good result, and then after this we have to try to prepare for a another tough game against United in the league.

‘We have to take it game by game and we will try to do our best in every single competition.’

Looking at our prospects in his homeland tonight, Conte focused on the first game between the sides, and then assessed this busy period of the season as the football comes thick and fast.

‘It was an exciting game, a 3-3 draw which is proof of both teams’ will and desire to go for it. It was a fair final score. It will be another very difficult game against a very good team. We have to give 100 per cent.

‘It’s important to overcome this sensitive stage of the season. When you are playing seven games in 21 days you don’t solve problems overnight. That’s why you have to try to do your best in every single game, and try and find the best solution. It’s important for us to do our best always and not have any regrets.’
