Premier League trophy thrills fans in Bangkok

A number of Chelsea supporters were given the opportunity to see the Premier League trophy close up at a couple of events in association with two of the club’s principal partners – Yokohama and Carabao - in Bangkok over the last couple of days.
The first of those took place at the Millennium Hilton Hotel yesterday and was attended by approximately 60 guests, which included members of our official Thailand Supporters’ Club and some key dealers at Yokohama who had been rewarded for their impressive sales figures, as well as their love for Chelsea.
The event began at 4pm local time, with those in attendance then treated to a selection of food and drinks, before Morita San, president of Yokohama in Thailand, gave a speech where he explained the importance of local fans and workers having the chance to see the Premier League trophy.
Those supporters in attendance were also given a sneak preview of Yokohama’s new Advan Decibel V552 Tyre, which will be launching in Thailand soon to mark the company’s 100th anniversary.
The second event took place earlier today at the Carabao Group Building in Bangkok, with 30 lucky members of our Thai Supporters' Club invited along by Carabao for a fun-filled session which included interactive activities, photo opportunities with the trophy and an appearance from Stamford the Lion.
Carabao set up backdrops of both Stamford Bridge and the home changing room, with shirts signed by the Chelsea players on show [pictured below].
Well-known Thai movie actor ‘New’ Chaiyapol Poupart was also a guest at the event, and three local footballers - Datsakorn Thonglao, Teerathep Winothai and Mika Chunuonsee - were invited onto the stage to provide their thoughts on Chelsea and the Premier League in general.
Kamoldist Smuthkochorn, Carabao’s deputy managing director of marketing, thanked the club for bringing the trophy to the event, which he said had turned out even bigger and better than anybody could have imagined.
Both events proved to be hugely enjoyable for all, and you will be able to read more about the tour over the coming days on this website.
