Christmas cheer at Ladies visit

Chelsea Ladies trio Hedvig Lindahl, Erin Cuthbert and Hannah Blundell surprised young fans at The Children’s Trust in Surrey this week.

The players brought smiles to the faces of the children during the visit to the rehabilitation centre, which is located a short distance from our Cobham training ground. They handed out presents, as well as posing for pictures and signing autographs.

The trip was organised by the Chelsea Foundation and the players were delighted to help raise the spirits of some of the young children within the rehabilitation centre.

Hedvig Lindahl said: ‘On a personal level I really enjoy visits like this.  It is a humbling experience to realise what people are doing to help these children.

‘The children seemed to enjoy the visit I am thankful to experience it and give back what we can to help.’

Youngsters from Tadworth have previously been guests at our Community Days and the close relationship was furthered with this week’s visit

The Children’s Trust is the UK’s leading charity for children with brain injury and aims to give all children with brain injuries and neuro-disability the opportunity to live the best life possible.

Dalton Leong chief executive for the Children’s Trust said: ‘I want to thank the Chelsea Ladies for coming to visit us.  It means a massive amount to the children and staff and makes such a big difference.

‘These sorts of visits are fantastic. It helps bring some enthusiasm and joy to the children, but also for the staff and volunteers to be supported by the club really helps a lot.’
