Major trophies

1 League Cup in 1972

Stoke’s best seasons in the top flight were in 1935/36 and 1946/47 when they finished fourth. The Potters one major trophy was the League Cup in 1972 when as underdogs they defeated Chelsea 2-1 at Wembley.

Mark Hughes’ side are without a win on the road since Watford on 28 October, their one away victory this season.

Only Southampton (11 games) are on a longer run without a Premier League clean sheet than Stoke (10).

Mark Hughes’ side have won six points on the road this season from a possible 30 with defeats at Everton, Newcastle, Manchester City, Crystal Palace, Tottenham and Burnley, three draws with West Brom, Brighton and Huddersfield and one win at Watford.

Mark Hughes is the fourth longest-serving Premier League manager behind Arsene Wenger, Eddie Howe and Sean Dyche.
