Youth Cup tie confirmed

Our Under-18s will host West Bromwich Albion in the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup, with the fixture date confirmed for later this month.

Jody Morris’s side overcame the challenge of Scunthorpe United in round three, defeating the Iron 4-0 following a brace from Callum Hudson-Odoi before strikes from George McEachran and Tino Anjorin.

The Baggies were also 4-0 winners in their third round tie, dispatching Leyton Orient at the Hawthorns. It is our first meeting in the competition with West Brom since over 2,000 supporters watched a Blues side containing Alan Hudson beaten in the fifth round in 1969.

Aldershot Town will play host on this occasion on Wednesday 17 January, kick-off 7.05pm. Supporters wishing to attend can purchase tickets on the door priced at £3 for adults and £1 for concessions. Unfortunately, there is no free admission for season ticket holders on this occasion.

The match will also be broadcast live on Chelsea TV. Our youngsters are bidding to win the competition for a record-equalling fifth consecutive year.
