Latest Delta event proves hugely popular

The latest Delta Air Lines Edge of the Box Club took place at Stamford Bridge and proved a major success with record numbers in attendance.
The event was a Delta Air Lines ‘takeover’ day with three guest speakers and a team of volunteers supporting 200 starts-ups attending the club.
Finance, customer service and managing relationships, which are all key elements of starting a business, were the three main topics covered during the event at the Bridge.
The event was also an opportunity to celebrate how Delta Air Lines have supported the programme in which has seen a growth to the average attendance from 125 to more than 200 since our partnership began.
Employability and enterprise manager Carl Southwell said: ‘The Delta Air Lines team were able to deliver some really clear and relevant advice and guidance to the start-ups through real life stories and personal experience.’
‘It was impressive to see a global brand being able to connect with very early stage start-ups and offer solutions to similar problems.’
Speaking at the event, Wendy Fry said: ‘Hearing the guest speakers from Delta this morning confirmed to me the importance of having a really clear goal and vision and to follow that.
‘The guest speakers also highlighted the value of learning from setbacks, the importance of picking yourself back-up after these and working towards thriving and not just surviving.’
Bukola Dagiloke, who also attended the event, added: ‘The Edge of the Box Club is an excellent opportunity for me to exhibit and network and develop my personnel brand.
‘It has allowed my business to really take off.’
Alongside the monthly clubs, the Foundation has also delivered a series of alternative Edge of the Box Clubs which has included a Young Females in Tech Club, a 16-24 year-old employability event for 10 Premier League Clubs based on social media and a St Marys University Hack day based on Smart Stadiums.
