Matchday Draw winners visit the Bridge

Three Chelsea Foundation Matchday Draw winners recently visited Stamford Bridge where they were given a tour around the home of the Blues.
Chelsea 50/50 was launched in September and total proceeds raised through ticket sales has been over £100,000, with 50 per cent of these funds going to winners and the other 50 per cent going back to supporting the good causes of the club’s Foundation and the cost of running the draw.
Sarah Nicolas, David Winkworth and Martin Pettyfer were all recent winners of our Chelsea Foundation Matchday Draw where the prizes included a signed Eden Hazard shirt and large cash amounts.
They arrived at the Bridge for a private tour of the ground, visiting the changing rooms where the likes of Hazard, Cesc Fabregas and co prepare before games before getting a photograph opportunity on the hallowed Stamford Bridge turf.
Martin Pettyfer, who received a cash prize of £631, said: ‘I saw Chelsea 50/50 promoted when I came to the cup game against Bournemouth before Christmas – it was easy to sign up and there was some good prizes on offer for just £2.
‘I was really pleased when it turned out that I had won, it paid for a lovely Christmas for my wife and family.
He added: ‘I think it’s good to be part of something and it’s great to see the club putting money from this back into the community so they can continue the good work they do whether that be with disabled children, on soccer schools or elsewhere.’
Tickets cost just £2 to enter the draw, and you can buy online or at the stadium in the build-up to the game – with our next matchday draw taking place at our home fixture against West Ham United on Sunday 8 April.
