LADIES OFF TO EMIRATES
Chelsea Ladies will travel to the Emirates stadium on April 24th to face Arsenal Ladies in the FA Women's Premier League.
The Ladies will travel to the home of our north London rivals who currently preside at the top the league for our second meeting this season, and will be hoping to improve on our 3-0 loss back in October.
With four consecutives league titles to their name, nine in total since 1993, the Gunners will be a formidable force for seventh place Chelsea, but manager Shaun Gore is not only looking forward to the opportunity, but relishing the idea of a good game of football.
'They have an agreement with the football club that they play one of their home games a year at the Emirates which is fantastic,' said Gore.
'So we are delighted to be playing at what can undoubtedly be perceived as one of the best stadiums in the country.'
'It is a local derby, Chelsea and Arsenal is always a bit juicy on the male side of things and it is also a bit juicy on the female side of things.
'It's going to be difficult; we have a few players missing. Three of my Under 19s are away with England.
'But obviously it is too big an opportunity for us and the other girls to miss, but we will have a go anyway and it should be a good game,' he added.
Tickets for the game cost £3 each and are available through the Arsenal website.
