In School Coaching
This is a very popular initiative that is carried out during curriculum time and is at present free of charge. Due to the high demand we operate a waiting list and rota system to ensure all schools receive the project.
After School Coaching
Our after school coaching is a six week coaching programme held at the school facility. There is a minimal cost implication, however the school receive free coaching or equipment in return.
Soccer Schools
A major part of our core programme. We run in excess of 80 courses throughout the year for children aged 6-14 yrs. They run from 9.30/10am to 3pm on a daily basis and range from 2-5 days which Chelsea FC Young Blues and Lion Cub members receiving a 10% discount.
Our courses have recently awarded the FA Charter Standard Mark and each participant receives a certificate of attendance plus a gift with the chance of winning individual trophies.
Mini Kickers
These are a pathway to our standard soccer schools that cater for children between 4-5 years of age. They are run on a morning only basis and provide specialist coaching for the younger player.
Saturday Morning Clubs
Held at parks/sports centres/schools, they are a perfect opportunity for players to become involved in football coaching and make friends. They are for children aged 5 - 12 and run for 1-2 hours.
Children's Activity Days
These are similar to Teacher Training Days in the respect that they are held on Inset Days at the school facility. We offer an active fun day which promotes exercise to children.
In addition to this we offer to go along to a school fete and run a penalty shoot out or alternatively we make a donation of footballs to the PE department.Teaching staff are encouraged to take notes at the coaching sessions to pass on to other staff as many of our drills and games can cross over to other sports.
Teacher Training Days
These take place on Baker Days/Inset Days at the school facility. We offer a days coaching during the normal school hours of 9am - 3pm which prove very popular with working parents who would otherwise have to arrange alternative child care provisions.
The days are run on the basis of a one day soccer school and the cost of attendance is minimal, they are also ideal for children just beginning in football as it gives them an opportunity to experience a coaching course.
School Assemblies
We have found that our assemblies are a unique vehicle in reaching young children and getting across issues such as healthy eating, bullying etc.Along with Stamford (our club mascot) we deliver the assembly whilst encouraging interaction from the children.
The children can ask questions and get involved and having Stamford attending is a fantastic way of capturing children's attention to the issues we are trying to get across.
Leisure Centre Programmes
Our comprehensive Leisure Centre Programmes have been running for some time now and are a good way of reaching the community local to the centres. It is an ideal set up for many parents who use the leisure centre facilities as they can book their children on to our courses whilst they are using the gym etc.
We run various sessions for different age groups including Mini?Kickers, Sharp Shooters, Girls Only etc.The sessions are held during the week from 4pm onwards and we also use some of the centres to run our soccer schools.
Club Partnerships
Forging links with a respected youth set up, we form a club partnership which consists of assisting the club with coaching sessions and recruitment of players from our soccer schools and player development centres. In return for this we get first refusal on the clubs better players in relation to our Academy or Centre of Excellence.
School Tournaments
These are run in conjunction with the middle schools which are already part of our programme and consist of 5/6-a-side throughout the school year. The tournaments are not only regional but also national and an example of this is the Railtrack Tournament which was a PFA initiative.
The tournaments provide the players with the opportunity of meeting and playing against teams from other parts of the country and is a positive tool in teamwork and sportsmanship.
Residential Trial Camps
We have been running Residential Soccer Schools since 1996 and have established a reputation as one of the top operators for Residential Soccer Courses. The venues we use offer a superb range of sporting and leisure activities alongside their magnificent historic buildings. Camps are open to boys from the ages or 8 - 17 years.
The course not only offers an intensive training programme but also incorporates other aspects of the game including injury prevention, healthy eating etc. We have representatives from Chelsea Academy visiting throughout the course and if players meet the required standard and criteria they have the opportunity of being offered a trial at our Elite Training Centre or Player Development Centre and in exceptional cases may be offered a trial with the Academy.
