Football+

Chelsea Foundation's Football+ project aims to increase local playing opportunities for people with disabilities, establish a competitive structure, create performance pathways to excellence and raise the profile and awareness of football for people with disabilities.

Football+ is committed to enabling children and adults to participate in organised football training and matches in a safe and enjoyable environment on a regular basis. The project allows players with disabilities to develop their health and independence, realise their full potential and challenge the skills they possess through their passion for our national game. The Football+ project delivers coaching sessions to several special needs schools and community schemes across London and the south east.

Football+ also runs competitive male and female teams at junior, youth and adult level with several players progressing to represent international disability squads while playing for Chelsea Community Football Club.

Chelsea Community FC

Chelsea Community FC is the official pan-disability football club of Chelsea. Players are selected according to their ability, not their disability. At present, we run 10 football teams. Chelsea Community FC is proud to provide football for all impairment groups, male and female, from the age of seven upwards. Teams enjoy professional football coaching, pan-disability and impairment specific tournaments, and play in FA recognised leagues and cups.

Chelsea Community teams are an integrated and valued part of Chelsea Foundation with games and training based in south west London and Chelsea's Cobham training facility in Surrey. If you are interested in any aspect of Chelsea's disability work, please contact rob.seale@chelseafc.com.
