Sophie started playing football in her primary school's boys' team before joining her local girls' side Hove Park Rangers.

Sophie joined Chelsea in 2006 to help the side embark on our first season in top-flight football after we gained promotion to the Women's Premier League.

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I always wanted to be a hairdresser.

What superpower would you have and why?
To be invisible because I reckon you could have some fun with that!

What piece of advice would you have for aspiring female footballers?
To believe in yourself and never give up, hard work plays off in the end.

When did you start playing football?
Started playing in primary school with the boys.

What are your strengths on the pitch?
Hard working and I like to join in with attacking play when going forward, utilising the flanks.

What are your strengths off the pitch?
I'm a PE teacher, so I can do anything!

What are your hobbies outside of football?
Listening to music and socialising with my friends.

What's your most memorable moment playing for Chelsea Ladies?
Winning the play-offs to stay in the Women's Premier League.

With excellent pace and ability in the air coupled with a will to succeed, Sophie is an invaluable member of the Chelsea back line. Boasting both Enlgish and Irish blood, Sophie has also represented England at Under 23 level.
