BETTING: SCOLARI 1/4 TO WIN FIRST GAME
Bookmakers Paddy Power rate Luiz Felipe Scolari at 1/4 to mark his first league game for Chelsea with a win against FA Cup winners Portsmouth.
With the fixture lists for the new season announced, champions Man Utd are also 1/4 to beat Newcastle whilst Hull are 6/4 to start their first season in the top flight with a win when they host Fulham on August 16.
Of the three promoted teams to the Barclays Premier League, West Brom look to have the toughest curtain-raiser on their hands and are 9/1 to win at Arsenal. The three new teams are also the favourites for relegation with Hull 3/10 favourites to go down, Stoke 4/9 and West Brom evens.
Man Utd are 6/5 favourites with Paddy Power to retain their title with Chelsea 9/4. Of the lower leagues, QPR at 11/2 and Leeds 3/1 are the favourites to win their respective divisions whilst Gillingham, Bournemouth and Bradford are all 9/1 joint-favourites to win League Two.
