Chelsea Football Club has issued a statement regarding the family tragedy suffered by our player Khalid Boulahrouz, who spent last season on loan at Sevilla and is currently playing for The Netherlands at Euro 2008.

The statement reads:

'Everyone at Chelsea FC sends their sincerest condolences to Khalid and Sabia Boulahrouz as they come to terms with the death of their daughter Anissa. We were all tremendously saddened to hear the news and our thoughts are with the family at this difficult time.'
