New signings Deco and José Bosingwa have begun training with their Chelsea colleagues, increasing the likelihood they will be given their first match action in China in 12 days time.

Deco took part in his first session this morning (Friday) while his fellow Euro 2008 quarter-finalist, Bosingwa, was involved yesterday. He is pictured running with compatriot Ricardo Carvalho.

Chelsea take on Guangzhou Pharmaceutical on July 23 and with Felipe Scolari having announced his plan on taking at least 95 per cent of the current squad on the tour, our new midfielder and right-back won't need to wait long for another team talk from their former international manager.

Earlier this week, chief executive Peter Kenyon told chelseafc.com the club will be taking a big squad to China.

'Even those players such as Michael Ballack who will be joining late for pre-season because of the Euros will be flying out with us,' he said.

'Of course there may be one or two departures and so there might be some new faces too. That's great for the fans in Asia, we always take our strongest squads on pre-season.

'There are a whole host of reasons why this time the pre-season tour was Asia but as always, football preparation is the main priority and we are delighted with the level of opposition we will be facing as many of the players would have been back in full training for nearly two weeks.

'We will be promoting Vision China, the grass roots project we are partners in. There will be a humanitarian and charitable element to our matches in China to raise awareness and money for the earthquake relief effort and our Football in the Community team will be running clinics.

'We also wanted to go there just before the Beijing Olympics as we also have a role as an official Ambassador for London and we will be helping to promote London 2012 too.'

There are tickets still available for the games in Guangzhou, Macau on July 26 and in Kuala Lumpur, Mayalsia. For more information please call 00852 2314 2112.

UK visitors to China should note that they will need a visa and China is substantially reducing the number of tourist visas it issues ahead of this summer's Olympic Games.

You will be able to watch the games in full on Chelsea TV.
