The Chelsea reserves will kick off the league season with an away game to Arsenal on Monday, September 1.

Brendan Rogers will once again lead the reserves from the sidelines in what will be his fifth season working at the club.

The reserves will continue to play any home games at Brentford FC; the first of these will take place against West Ham on September 15.

The format of 2008/09 will once again see the Barclays Premier League split into two groups for the reserve fixtures, north and south, with Chelsea residing in the Barclays Premier Reserve League South.
