England Under 19s, with two Chelsea players in the starting line-up, kept the door to the European Championship semi-finals narrowly open with a 0-0 draw against Italy.

To stand a chance of progressing, nothing less than a win will be sufficient in their final group game against Greece on Sunday. The Greeks also ended scoreless in their Thursday match against Czech Republic.

England's second game was a marked improvement on their opening defeat to the Czechs as they dominated possession and chances against the Italy.

Chelsea's Jack Cork (pictured) again captained from right-back, Ryan Bertrand was on the left but Scott Sinclair had to settle for a place on the bench this time and was introduced in the 88th minute.

England came closest in the first half when Arsenal's Kieran Gibbs had a shot pushed onto the post but after heavy earlier pressure, Italy coped more comfortably after the break. A Sinclair shot was saved three minutes into stoppage time.

The young England side's quest for their first goal of the tournament continues at 5pm on Sunday in Liberec. Opponents Greece and Italy sit one point above England with Czech Republic a further two points ahead.
