Peter Kenyon gives Chelsea TV the low-down on pre-season training in tonight's Blues News at 6.30pm.

Chelsea's chief executive explains how the trip to the Far East and the extreme training sessions will be essential to the Blues' success next season.

'It is a different pre-season and a new coach, and it [training] is critical to our success next season,' said Kenyon.

'There is a great desire to correct the record books and get some trophies back this season.

'To get the Barclays Premier League trophy back is high on the agenda and to move the club further forward by getting that elusive Champions League.'

Petr Cech then talks about his first impressions of Felipe Scolari, and his desire to repay the Brazilian's faith in his goalkeeper talents, before Brendan Rodgers takes a look back at the reserves' pre-season friendly against Hampton and Richmond FC.

After that, there's a look at the plans for pre-season, with all the games ahead, as well as the places the team will visit, and a look back at the invaluable contribution Michael Essien has made to the club after signing a five-year extension on his contract.

Once Blues News is finished, Gavin Peacock explains his decision to leave the world of media in search of spiritual enlightenment as he heads towards Canada in A New Chapter at 6.45pm.
