Felipe Scolari expects a decision to be made by tomorrow (Friday) on José Bosingwa's ability to continue on Chelsea's Asia tour.

The freshly-signed right-back was forced off after 19 minutes of his first game for the club with a thigh problem.

Speaking shortly after travelling from Guangzhou to Macau for the second leg of the China visit, the Chelsea manager announced that further medical examinations were needed.

'The doctors see him in the evening for more details and after we discuss the idea of whether it is possible for him [Bosingwa] to stay with us before we go back to London, or it is better for him to go back tomorrow.

'Maybe later tonight we know, or tomorrow morning.'

A 30-minute flight south above the Pearl River to its extensive delta transported the squad to the former Portuguese colony of Macau and contrasting environment.

The urban functionality of the sprawling city of Guangzhou has been swapped for the tourist-friendly glitz of Asia's compact gaming centre.

Tomorrow Chelsea will train in the venue for Saturday's game and even if Scolari does lose Bosingwa, his squad size will remain the same with Michael Ballack to join up before Saturday's game.

However the match will come too soon for any action for the Euro 2008 finalist.

'I say one million per cent he will not play,' Scolari confirmed. 'He has no training. In one week, 10 days, maybe he will play some game.'

After giving his news update, Scolari, his players and club officials attended a welcome dinner where 38,000 Hong King Dollars (nearly £2,500) were raised by auction for the Macau Foundation and the Chinese Red Cross.

Chelsea are supporting the International Football Arena Sichuan Fund with a donation from the receipts from Saturday's game against Chengdu Blades. The Fund will help rebuild football facilities in the earthquake-hit province
