José Bosingwa's injury has been diagnosed as a small tear in his thigh. The player has returned to England for the remainder of his recovery.

The newly-signed right-back suffered the injury during Chelsea's first pre-season game in Guangzhou and was substituted during the first half. He flew back to London today (Saturday).

It is hoped he could be back in action in three weeks.

Scott Sinclair has travelled in the other direction and joined up with the squad today. The 19-year-old winger was on England Under 19 international duty when Chelsea's Asia tour began.
