Petr Cech lines up against England at Wembley tonight, and admits he is excited at the prospect.

Having taken to life in this country like a duck to water over the last four years, Cech is relishing the opportunity of walking out at the famous stadium, despite having done it several times already.

'It will be different and I am looking forward to it because I know how good the atmosphere is for Premier League matches in this country, but I have never played against the national team,' he said, prior to reporting for international duty.

'England has been my home for four years, and now I want to see the difference between playing in the FA Cup, Carling Cup and Community Shield, which was always good. I was at England v Croatia and saw the atmosphere which was good but it was very different and want to see what it is like being on the pitch.'

The goalkeeper will be lining up against club and country captain John Terry, and is likely to come face-to-face with Ashley Cole, Wayne Bridge, Frank Lampard and Joe Cole, but he rejects the notion that it will be a friendly encounter.

Cech though has come up against Chelsea team-mates before, most recently during Euro 2008 when Portugal fielded no less than four current Chelsea players.

''I'm really looking forward to it because first I have played my team-mates before

I have never played against the English players as opponents, but we will not talk during the game. For the 90 minutes, we are not friends,' he confirmed.

It is the last game before World Cup qualifiers start, and while attention in England has been on Fabio Capello's men and the captaincy, for Cech, it is the first game under new coach Petr Rada.

'It's the last game before qualifying starts and we have a new manager. We start a new era so everyone is looking forward to this game.'

This is certainly true, and Chelsea fans can still be at the event. Tickets start at £30 for the first meeting between the two sides since 1998. Call 0844 826 2010 for details.
