If you are travelling north for the weekend's fixture against Wigan then you may appreciate the following information.

Anyone travelling by train will probably be leaving from Euston station, if you plan to use London Underground services to reach this station then please note there will be no service between Burnt Oak and Edgware on the Northern Line, although there will be a replacement bus service running.

The Metropolitan Line will be suspended between Northwood and Watford as well as Amersham and Chesham, but there will be three rail replacement buses in service.

There are also closures between North Greenwich and Stratford on the Jubilee Line, but there is a limited replacement bus service in operation, while the entire East London Line is still closed as work is carried upgrading the line to the London Overground Network.

If you are driving to the JJB Stadium then you can find directions to the stadium, both on road and on foot from the train station, on our travel guide section.

Drivers will happy to hear there are no major roadworks expected between London and Wigan, although it's worth pointing out there's a traffic blackspot as you leave the M25 to join the M40.

There is another traffic blackspot as you leave the M40 to join the M42, and then between the M6 Toll and the M6.

But if you are driving to Wigan then we advise you check your route on either the AA or RAC websites before you leave.
