TEAM NEWS: WIGAN ATHLETIC V CHELSEA
There is one change to the winning team against Portsmouth with Michael Essien back from injury to take the place of John Mikel Obi who is unavailable.
That means Michael Ballack is over the foot injury suffered a week ago and José Bosingwa has recovered from a midweek problem while on international duty.
Nicolas Anelka is again a lone central striker.
Wigan make three changes from their opening weekend defeat to West Ham. Titus Bramble comes into defence in place of Paul Scharner and Jason Koumas replaces Olivier Kapo on the left of midfield. Chris Kirkland was withdrawn in the warm-up to be replaced in goal by Mike Pollitt.
Former Blue Mario Melchiot plays at right-back for the home side.
