Anyone making their way to Stamford Bridge this Sunday as the Blues prepare to face Aston Villa may appreciate the following information.

If you're planning to use London Underground services to get to the stadium then be aware the District Line is closed between Upminster and Barking, there are two replacement buses in operation.

The Hammersmith and City Line is shut between Edgware Road and Barking, while the Circle line is suspended between Kings Cross St Pancras and Moorgate, via Farringdon.

There will be no service between Liverpool Street and Leytonstone on the Central Line, there are replacement buses running between Stratford and Leytonstone.

Between North Greenwich and Stratford is shut on the Jubilee Line and the Metropolitan Line will have no service stopping between Baker Street and Aldgate.

Anyone driving to the stadium should note King Street (Hammersmith) between Goldhawk Road and Ravenscourt Park will have delays in both the eastbound and westbound directions as carriageway restrictions are in place to facilitate Thames Water works.

There may also be delays on Scotch Corner (Chelsea) at the junction of Knightsbridge and Brompton Road in both eastbound and westbound directions. Carriageway restrictions are in place as gas, water mains, Telecommunication and junction realignment works are carried out.

Also in the Hammersmith area, lane restrictions are in place on Shepherds Bush Road as BT works are carried out, which may cause delays in the southbound direction.

There may also be delays on Wood Lane (Shepherds Bush) at the junction of Ariel Way in the northbound and southbound directions, as lane restrictions are in place to assist a Victorian mains replacement project.
