IT'S KERRY VERSUS PADDY
Bookmaker Paddy Power is still trailing Kerry Dixon in their regular charity bet challenge and Paddy is widening his net beyond the Chelsea-Villa game.
Kerry has so far raised £112.50 for CLIC Sargent this season with Paddy yet to get off the mark.
It's only right then that the former Chelsea striker goes first with his £50 stake.
'Villa are going well and they are a bit of a bogey side,' he admits. 'It was 4-4 at the Bridge last year, although we did also stuff them in the Carling Cup.
'I don't think it is going to be a four-all like last year, JT and co will have something to say about that at home, and Alex has come in and looked alright - a good deputy for Riccy.
'We haven't beaten Villa in a league game for three years but I still think we will do enough so I am going to go with Chelsea by the odd goal - correct score bets of 1-0 at 5/1 and 2-1 at 13/2, £20 on each.
'Then I am backing Lamps to continue his good start to the season with £10 on him to score the first goal at 11/2.
Paddy responds:
'Chelsea will be glad to be back home for this game but I think they would have hoped for a Spurs or Newcastle rather than Villa who are a big and fast team. But Chelsea have a great home record so I'm going to back them to come from behind to win at 17/2.
'I'm going to break from the norm as there is big horse race this weekend in Paris, The Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe and I'm going on Zarkava. I know he is the 2/1 favourite but my sources tell me there is some rain on the way in Paris which will mean second favourite Duke Of Marmalade will be withdrawn.'
