Many people can claim to be Chelsea's number one family, but there is only one that can prove it - and that's the Law family.

Earlier this season the club started the search to find Chelsea's number one family for the 2008/09 season and the Laws - dad Terry and mum Pam, Matthew, Louise, Stuart and David - came out on top.

Terry has been supporting Chelsea for 62 years with his father Wally, who took him to his first game just after World War II.

Being in possession of a season ticket for 42 of those years, Terry has past the Chelsea passion onto his whole family, including his son Mathew, who is the disabled representative on the fans forum.

As well as being chosen as Chelsea's number one fan family, the Laws were handed a signed Chelsea shirt and a £150 Frankie's voucher, which were presented to them at Sunday's game against Aston Villa, in front of over 40,000 fans.

There have also had a wall specially dedicated to them inside the newly refurbished Chelsea Museum.

'It's smashing, a great honour,' said Matthew: 'Our history with the club stretches back over 50 years.

'We have some fantastic memories of supporting the club and being named Family of the Year is up there with the best.'
