England manager Fabio Capello has confirmed John Terry will miss the international against Kazakhstan on Saturday.

The back problem first suffered during Chelsea's Champions League game in Romania is the reason, the England captain having not trained for the past two days.

However Capello has not ruled Terry out of making a return for his country on Wednesday away to Belarus, if he is able to resume training on Sunday or Monday.

Frank Lampard, Ashley Cole and Wayne Bridge remain available for England; Joe Cole having been left out of the squad due to a foot injury.
