TIME TO DELIVER
Brazilian pair Juliano Belletti and Alex have both outlined their determination to progress into the last eight of the Carling Cup, and insist it is time to win some silverware.
The duo arrived at Stamford Bridge in August 2007, both well accustomed to picking up winners' medals at their previous clubs, while we had accumlated trophies in each of the three previous seasons.
Beaten finalists twice last season and runners up in the league, the Brazilian pair are eager to finally win a trophy in Chelsea blue, and the Carling Cup is the first opportunity. Both believe it is well within our capabilities.
'When you play in a big team like Chelsea of course you can win. You have the team to win, you have a responsibility to win, and you have the best players,' Belletti stressed.
'You need to win titles and it was like this for me in Barcelona, with a lot of pressure. The fans need these titles like us as well, so this year we don't have an excuse, we need to win a minimum one or two titles, because we have the best team and players.'

The 32-year-old's sentiments are echoed by his younger compatriot, who won three successive league titles with PSV in Holland.
'It is always important to win trophies and I was very happy I managed to win a Dutch Cup and three leagues with PSV. Last year at Chelsea we thought we could get one, we didn't but I am sure this time we are stronger and I believe we have better chances and can get at least two of them,' he said confidently.
'In the Carling Cup, last season we reached the Final and it was really a shame that we didn't win it. It is always important to be participating in these competitions and trying to win them all, so for sure on Wednesday we will get on to the pitch and try to play a nice game, win the game and reach another final, and this time get the trophy.'
Standing in our way is a Burnley side who will be determined to cause an upset, much like Barnsley who eliminated us from last season's FA Cup, and Leicester City who pushed us so close in this competition. They have already knocked out Fulham on their way to Stamford Bridge.
Neither player is under any illusion that the game will be straightforward.
'As players we always know a game is 11 against 11, we don't see differently because it's a team from a lower division. It doesn't matter if they are from the second or third division, we have to respect them to give our best because for example last year we played Leicester and in the last minute we won 4-3,' Alex recalled.
'It was a very difficult game to play so this time we will have to try the same as we always do, respect the opposition, give our best and try to win the game because we want to get to the final of all competitions.'
'It doesn't matter, Chelsea play at home, and at home Chelsea need to win all the games, it doesn't matter who against,' Belletti added. 'In this competition last year we lost in the final against Tottenham so this year we need to change this history because we need to win this competition.'
Last season, Belletti was buoyed at the prospect of appearing at Wembley, a stadium he had long revered, but this time he is not worrying about venues.
'It is a good stadium of course, but more important than playing at Wembley is to play a final. I played a lot of finals in football, and of course when you win it is much better, to play in these games is very exciting.
'So we need to try hard this year to play again in a final, because it is a very good occasion.'
