Frank Lampard and José Bosingwa are looking forward to returning to action this weekend as we attempt to record a tenth consecutive Premier League away win.

Both have been in sterling form this season, with Lampard again finding the net on a regular basis, picking up the Barclays Player of the Month award for October yesterday.

Bosingwa has settled quickly to life in England, despite obvious contrasts from the Portuguese league.

After a thigh injury robbed him of much of his pre-season preparations, the 25-year-old quickly adapted to Premier League football, and is growing used to playing two games a week on a regular basis.

In spite of that, he recognises the importance of rest, and sat out our midweek Carling Cup tie with Burnley.

'In Portugal we tended to play from Sunday to Sunday unless there was a Champions League game, only then we played on Wednesday and Saturday and here you play much more.

'It is important to rest because this is a different league with a lot of games and sometimes it is good to get some rest time,' he said.

Bosingwa is likely to bump into an old team-mate at the Hawthorns today, as fellow former Porto man Marek Cech has returned to training after illness.

'We haven't spoken but he is a player I played with for three years at Porto and we won three titles,' recalled the right-back. 'He is a good player and I will be happy to see him again in England.'

When it was put to him that there was a possibility he may have to mark the left-sided Slovakian, his retort was defiant. 'Or he might have to mark me!'

It is this positive attitude that captain John Terry called for yesterday on chelseafc.com, and Bosingwa will be hoping his return can provide the boost needed to return to winning ways and retain our place on top of the league.

Frank Lampard, speaking at this week's launch of the Chelsea/adidas Blue Pitches, is adamant this can be done, and believes there is too much emphasis placed on the Blues when we suffer a defeat, with many pointing to three defeats in our last six games, including the penalties elimination against Burnley.

'The problem is nowadays there is so much of a highlight on Chelsea if we lose a game it's a major thing. I think it's a bit distorted that statistic, it's obviously true but we are top of the Premier League and our Champions League group,' he began.

'Okay we are out of the Carling Cup but if you ask anyone at the start of the season the main competitions the Carling Cup would come fourth.

'The football we have played is top drawer and we are in a good position.'

Lampard added that he is confident we are capable of bouncing back at the Hawthorns against Tony Mowbray's side before looking further ahead.

'I think we are very professional at Chelsea, you have to learn from mistakes in games you don't win but it doesn't devastate us too much. We will go with a positive attitude, the same we have had all season and look for the win that keeps us top.

'Hopefully we can continue in the right direction, keep this style and the toughness that's been ingrained in us in recent years and win some trophies.'
