MANCIENNE ENGLAND STEP-UP
Michael Mancienne has joined three of his more senior Chelsea colleagues in the full England national squad named on Saturday evening.
The 20-year-old central defender, currently on-loan at Wolves, has yet to make his Chelsea first team debut but has eight appearances at England Under 21 level. He joins Aston Villa's Gabriel Agbonlahor and Curtis Davies uncapped players in the squad.
Mancienne is a Chelsea Academy product, having made his reserve team debut when still a schoolboy. He played his fourth game for league-leaders Wolves on Saturday afternoon, a 2-1 win over Southampton.
John Terry, Wayne Bridge and Frank Lampard are the other Chelsea players in the 23-man party. Joe and Ashley Cole miss out due to injury.
England play Germany in Berlin on Wednesday evening, their final international of 2008.

The England Under 21 squad to play the Czech Republic in Sheffield on Tuesday contains two further Academy products, Ryan Bertrand and Jack Cork, also currently on-loan in the Championship.
