This week has seen several of Chelsea's young players finally complete their season.

At Under 21 level, Miroslav Stoch didn't settle for scoring his first goal for the full Slovakia team at the weekend; he followed it with a full 90 minutes for the Under 21 side as they drew 2-2 in Norway.

Stoch didn't find the net on this midweek occasion but Ben Sahar (pictured), fresh from his loan spell in the Netherlands, was on-target for Israel Under 21s. Not only did he score, he won the game for his side in the 90th minute of what was a dramatic 4-3 win away to Bulgaria.

Those two matches were towards qualification for the 2011 European Uncder 21 Championships. The 2009 event, in which Michael Mancienne will help represent England, starts on Monday.

There was less joy this week for Chelsea's Dutch Under 19 defensive pair of Jeffrey Bruma and Patrick van Aanholt. Their team failed to make the European Championships later this summer despite winning 2-1 against Russia.

Van Anaholt scored the game's opener on 31 minutes but other results in a qualification tournament in Slovenia didn't go their way and the Dutch miss out on goal difference.

Ireland Under 19s, eliminated before their final tournament game, gave another 90 minutes of action to midfielder Conor Clifford in a 2-1 win over Sweden.
