DROGBA NETS IN DISASTER BENEFIT
Didier Drogba captained and opened the scoring for Ivory Coast on Saturday in a charity match in honour of the victims of March's stadium disaster in his country.
Nineteen supporters were killed and 132 injured before a World Cup qualifier against Malawi in Abidjan, the capital city.
This weekend Abidjan hosted a Cameroon side that included Samuel Eto'o and former Chelsea player Gérémi, with the takings from the game going to the victims' families.
Drogba was on target after just seven minutes with Sevilla's Koffi N'Dri Romaric adding a second on the hour. Marcus Mokaké, who plays for Sedan in France, pulled a late goal back for Cameroon, the match ending 2-1.
Ivory Coast continue their World Cup qualification campaign next Saturday with a game away to Burkina Faso. Ghana are away to Sudan and Nigeria away to Tunisia on the same day.
