MANCIENNE BACK IN INTERNATIONAL ACTION
Michael Mancienne was part of Stuart Pearce's England Under 21s starting XI against Germany today (Monday), helping his country to a 1-1 draw.
Mancienne returned to international action following a red card against Finland during England's 2-1 win in their first game of the Euro 2009 campaign on 15 June.
He was then suspended for his country's 2-0 win over Spain before returning to action for England's game against Germany.
Both goals came in the first half, with Germany taking the lead after five minutes through Gonzalo Castro, who coolly slotted past goalkeeper Scott Loach after collecting a through-ball from Jerome Boateng.
England then levelled just before the half-hour mark when Everton midfielder Jack Rodwell headed home Craig Gardener's corner.
England go through to the knock-out stages of the competition having finished at the top of Group B with seven points.
