Time is drawing near for the annual Ossie and Hutch Memorial Race Day which takes place at the Royal Windsor Racecourse on 9 August.

The Race Day was first created by Peter Osgood after Ian Hutchinson's death in 2002. Originally named the Ian Hutchinson Memorial Race Day, Royal Windsor Racecourse was picked as a location because the two Chelsea stars ran their pub The Union Inn in Windsor (both stars are pictured above serving fellow Chelsea players).

After Osgood's sudden death in 2006, the Race Day was renamed in memory of the two friends and former footballers, which was all the more apt considering Osgood was born only a short distance from the racecourse.

Now in its seventh year, the Ossie and Hutch Memorial Race Day continues to be a massive success, with last year's event raising over £4,000 for charity.

All funds raised go towards the Peter Osgood Trust, which helps enhance the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in the UK by offering opportunities to encourage skill in football, and Thames Hospicecare.

The stunning Riverbank Marquee is the venue where race-goers will enjoy a champagne reception followed by a two-course lunch, including wine.

You'll receive club badge entry to the paddock, private car parking, race card and afternoon tea all for a mere £99 per person. Click here for the application form to book your place.
