Speaking during his second day at the club, Ross Turnbull admitted he cannot wait to get started at Chelsea.

The 24-year-old goalkeeper was available on a free transfer after his contract at Middlesbrough expired, and he feels he is settling in nicely.

'It's been good, the facilities are world class. It's a bit different, Middlesbrough's was good but this is one is a bit better,' he explained.

'It's great to be here with the players and the team and great to be learning as much as I can.'

Turnbull's long-term aim is to make the goalkeeper's jersey his own, but for now he is keen to learn from his more experienced team-mates and goalkeeper coach Christophe Lollichon, renowned around the club for his entertaining training methods.

'He's different, he has some different methods and I am looking forward to working with him and getting started,' Turnbull added.

Chelsea fans will be able to hear more from the new goalkeeper, and 19-year-old forward Daniel Sturridge, later in the week. Keen to know more about Ross? Click here.
