THE DIFFICULT SECOND DAY
Day two of pre-season training saw a step up in work rate for the players present, with another double session.
The day started early and indoors with group gym sessions to kick things off (Michael Ballack is pictured working hard), before manager Carlo Ancelotti took his troops outside for more work.

Christophe Lollichon led the goalkeepers in a separate exercise for some of the session, before they were reintroduced into the main group again for some high tempo possession games.

After a break for lunch and a rest, the players were back out in late afternoon with more ballwork to entertain them, and even the sight of a couple of mini goals - there is little else more exciting for a footballer in pre-season than the possibility of scoring a goal!
