Yuri Zhirkov took part in his first training session at Cobham today (Wednesday) and Chelsea TV was there to capture the whole experience.

The Russian international signed for Chelsea yesterday afternoon and was at Cobham this morning to take part in pre-season training, and the club's official television channel caught his arrival for tonight's Blues News at 6.30pm.

Also in tonight's news, Ray Wilkins speaks about his excitement over the upcoming season, winning the FA Cup at the end of the 2008/09 campaign and the pre-season tour, which Chelsea TV will be covering exclusively, with behind-the-scenes footage and player interviews.

'I'm looking forward to the tour, it is going to be a tight schedule but it's all about getting our fitness levels up,' explained Wilkins.

'It's not all about winning but getting fully fit because we don't want any injuries this year, we had a lot last year and we don't want that again.'
