Chelsea Academy players have played a part in England Under 17s securing a place in the Elite Round of the European U17 Championships.

Midfielder Josh McEachran (pictured) and defender Nathaniel Chalobah, who is still a schoolboy, both played the full 90 minutes as the England youngsters beat Azerbaijan 4-0.

It was the second win in their second game in a four-team mini-qualification tournament being held in Azerbaijan, enough for progress to March's Elite Round, the next step on the way to the Finals.

England defeated Kazakhstan 6-2 on Monday and play Serbia on Saturday.

McEachran, who has played for Chelsea reserves on a regular basis this season, was part of the side that beat Kazakhstan. Chalobah was an unused sub.
