Chelsea have earned praise this season for the football that is easy on the eye. Some say we're playing a more exciting style than Manchester United. Carlo Ancelotti is not one of them.

Certainly the Blues are outscoring the Red Devils this season, and no team has kept us out of their net. The recent goal flood suggests players comfortable with the system they are playing, although the manager is turning the credit onto the team.

'The exciting play arrived because you can use the players with quality,' Ancelotti argues.

'We can do that and also Manchester United can use the players with quality. I don't think that we are playing more exciting play.

'I know very well Manchester United, not only this year, and I like watching them play. There is a not a big difference in the way Chelsea play this season. We changed something with respect to the last few years but we are playing at the same level.

'At home we create a very good atmosphere, with help from the fans naturally. We have done very well and we want this to continue.'

The goal that capped off the 4-0 win at Bolton in the last league outing, when Frank Lampard and Deco juggled on a cross for Drogba's first-time finish, has been admired as a sign of how good Chelsea's football is. It was the icing on the cake last Saturday, but through a coach's eye the goals take on difference significance.

Drogba Chelsea

'I am excited about the first goal in the game,' explains Ancelotti, 'as this is the goal that gives us the possibility to win. The fourth goal was fantastic action but I was not excited for this. I am excited for Didier only because he scored and he is one of the top scorers of the league now and I hope that he will arrive in first position.'
