CECH`S LIVE VIDEO A SUCCESS
Petr Cech took part in a football club first today by answering questions from our Facebook Fan Page in a live video stream.
The interview took place at Cobham and was viewed by Blues around the world on chelseafc.com via our live press conference page, where Cech answered questions which had previously been posted onto our official Facebook page.
The Czech international covered topics ranging from his protective headgear to how he became a professional footballer, while admitting he nearly became a midfield player rather than goalkeeper.
'I ended up in the goal by chance,' revealed Cech.
'When I was about eight we had a game where we didn't have a goalkeeper because one was ill and one didn't come, so someone had to play in goal.
'I played in goal, I did well and my coach wanted me to stay in goal.
'My other coach wanted me to play in midfield, so there was a little bit of a fight between them but when I was 10 I broke my leg playing in midfield and decided to stay in goal.
'But the role of goalkeeper suits me more than anything else because I am more of an individual, as a goalkeeper you get the joy of playing in a team but in many aspects it's an individual sport.'
Fans also interacted with one another as the video streamed directly to their PC by commenting on the interview via Facebook Connect, which allows you to update your Facebook status without leaving chelseafc.com.
There were plenty of comments left as Cech answered your queries, including extra questions for the Premier-League winning keeper.
One question that was asked many times concerned Cech's most aimed-for objective this season, success in the Barclays Premier League or European domination?
'It's very hard to choose between those two. Of course Champions League is winning at the moment because haven't won it yet as a club. So for the club it is very important to win the Champions League.'
In fact, Cech mentioned winning the Premier League as his most treasured football memory.
'My biggest moment in the game is definitely winning the Premier League with Chelsea the first time,' explained Cech.
'It was just unbelievable and of course back-to-back titles were fantastic, without a doubt, but the first one was amazing. Everyone had been waiting 55 years for the title, so that was pretty special.'
Fans were engaged all around the globe as comments were left from Australia, Africa and the Caribbean.
