Chelsea Ladies moved top of the Women's Premier League this weekend with an emphatic win over Everton.

The Toffees had yet to lose a game this campaign but despite playing away from home, it took only 17 minutes for the Blues to take a two-goal lead.

The first goal came from Dunia Susi before Lianne Sanderson doubled the lead. Fara Williams then reduced the arrears in the 27th minute after Natasha Dowie missed a penalty.

However, Chelsea were winning 4-1 at the break when Eartha Pond and Shelby Hills scored in the final 10 minutes of the first half.

Williams managed to pull another goal back after the restart but Susi's second, which arrived 16 minutes from full time, meant Dowie's 88th minute strike wasn't enough to secure a draw.

Chelsea now sit top of the league with 19 points from eight games, while Everton find themselves eighth. Arsenal sit third with 18 points from six games.
