IT`S SOMETHING SPECIAL
Ray Wilkins insists the desire to win a successive FA Cup is huge inside the Chelsea camp.
As we prepare to host Stoke City in England's biggest knockout competition, the assistant coach believes last year's win tells everyone all they need to know about Chelsea's love of the trophy.
'I never knew how the players would react [last season]. It was my first time since being back in football that I was involved in a final and I didn't know how the boys would prioritise the FA Cup,' says Wilkins.
'But it was pretty evident to me, when we won, that it was high on their list because the elation shown in the dressing room after was something very special. Guus Hiddink enjoyed it a lot as well.
'It's big for us; we want to do really well. We love it and we want to be at the final with nearly 100,000 people at Wembley in May. It's fantastic.'
The Carling Cup may have escaped this season but the FA Cup is one of treble Chelsea can still go for.
'I can't say the topic's cropped up but at the start of the season we want to win them all,' explains Wilkins.
'The desire is there, whether we win is something else because you come across very tough competition along the way, but we want to win everything we play in.
'We go tooth and nail to win them all. In the Carling Cup we always play strong sides and we give every trophy we play in the credit it deserves. Today is no exception.'
