6 Appeal Malouda runs into Lucio on the edge of the box and the crowd and team mates shout, but the ref is unmoved. Shortly after Eto'o does similar on Mikel and feigns injury.
10 Shot Ballack, with Chelsea's first proper attempt, strikes low and hard from outside the box but a couple of yards wide.
16 Booked Eto'o for dissent after contesting a debatable offside call. The Cameroonian has already been in a row with Ballack.

Comment Zhirkov returns in the only change from the West Ham win. Drogba plays his 250^th Chelsea game. Inter, matching the Blues formation, do very well at suffocating our attacking moves with space in their half at a premium, but at set-pieces they were lucky not to concede two penalties. Make that three over the course of the tie and again the Blues can feel a European grievance. However our creative play on the night is severely lacking as Inter become the first side to stop us scoring at home under Ancelotti. Chelsea out at this stage for the first time since 2006.
