CHELSEA GOALS TO NET CASH FOR SPORT RELIEF
Chelsea players have an added incentive to grab the goals on Sunday.
Premier League sponsors Barclays have agreed to donate £1000 for every goal scored and an extra £500 for every shot on target during the weekend to support Sport Relief.
Chelsea's Football in the Community coaches will also be supporting the Sport Relief effort by backing Sunday's Sport Relief Mile on Victoria Embankment in London, offering soccer skills sessions for kids as well as Chelsea pedometers for the runners. Visit them in Temple Place and join in the fun!
Nicolas Anelka (pictuerd earlier in the season with Michael Essien) says: 'We are challenging all Chelsea fans to do your bit for Sport Relief and enter Sport Relief Mile in London. By taking part you will be raising cash to help people who live unimaginably tough lives every day.'
Kevin Wall, managing director of Barclays says: 'It's fantastic that we are able to harness the excitement of the Barclays Premier League to raise money for Sport Relief. We know that top flight English football is all about attacking play, competitiveness and goal scoring and we hope that the Sport Relief Weekend proves to be a record breaker for goals and fundraising.
