Sky will be launching Europe's first 3D TV channel with coverage of our trip to Manchester United on April 3.

The 12.45pm kick-off at Old Trafford will be the first match on Sky 3D, with at least five more Barclays Premier League games to follow before the end of the season, as well as the Football League play-off finals at the end of May.

Leading manufacturers, including Samsung, have also recently confirmed plans to launch 3D-compatible sets in the coming months.

'It's fitting that one of the biggest games of the season will be the launch pad for our pioneering Sky 3D service,' said Brian Lenz, Sky's director of product design and TV product development.
