Chelsea wrapped up our warm-weather training camp in Mallorca today (Thursday) with a final morning session before flying home.

And, as the trip drew to a close, chelseafc.com spoke to new boy Gary Cahill, for whom it's been a whirlwind week or so, having joined up with his Chelsea team-mates at Cobham only a few days before the trip.

While he admits his head may be swimming, he feels the time spent together in Mallorca has helped him bed in to the squad and to experience the training methods at the club.

'It's been a mad couple of weeks for me hasn't it?! I came in on the Tuesday, trained for just a few days before the game at Norwich and then we came straight over on a plane to Mallorca,' he said, as the players prepared to depart.

'Training has been really good and it's been enjoyable to get to know the lads - I know everyone a lot better now.

'I think the trip has definitely helped me. I've only been here just over a week, so I've obviously still got to get to know the lads a lot more than I do now, but it's been great because we've spent most of the time together and I've got to know them a lot better than if I was back in England.

'There are a lot of different characters here, definitely - most of all because of all the different nationalities. That's the one thing that's really different here and in that sense it's really good - there are some entertaining characters and they're great guys.'

The final session was played out amid lower temperatures than the previous days here, which will actually help the team prepare for the weather awaiting them in London.

Training concluded with a three-team mini tournament of eight-a-side, on not much more than a quarter-length pitch, forcing the players to work in tight situations. Among their number today were three Real Mallorca youngsters, who Andre Villas-Boas had requested join his session in order to make up the numbers for the game. They will no doubt remember this experience for some time!
