José Mourinho today backed the 2012 Olympics in London.

The Chelsea Football Club manager was one of several personalities who helped launch the new London 2012 brand as part of the club's ongoing support for the Games.

At the event Mourinho made an Olympic pledge alongside Lord Sebastian Coe, the chairman of London 2012, double Olympic gold medallist Dame Kelly Holmes and tennis star Andy Murray amongst others.

Mourinho said: 'My pledge is to live the Games in a special way and to live it as a Londoner, so probably in 2012 I will be in London.'

Chelsea FC was the first Premiership club to pledge support for the bid before London was awarded the Olympics and has retained close links since.
