Anyone travelling to the Christmas games may appreciate the following information.

The Underground will be running a reduced frequency of trains on Boxing Day and will begin at 8.30am before closing at normal Sunday times for each individual line.

If you will be travelling on the Bakerloo Line then please note that Edgware Road, Kilburn Park, Lambeth North and Marylebone will all be closed.

There will be no Hainault to Woodford service running on the Central Line while Buckhurst Hill, Chancery Lane, Chigwell, Fairlop, Grange Hill, Queensway, Roding Valley, Ruislip Gardens and Snaresbrook will all be closed as well.

Barbican, Cannon Street, Great Portland Street, Mansion House and Temple Close will all be closed on the Circle Line.

There will be no Kensington Olympia service running on the District Line while Bow Road, Cannon Street, Chiswick Park, Kensington Olympia, Mansion House, Ravenscourt Park and Temple and Upminster Bridge will all be closed.

There will be replacement buses running for the East London Line. Routes ELC, ELP and ELW will run but there will be no service on route ELS between Whitechapel and Shoreditch.

There will be no service between Whitechapel and Barking on the Hammersmith and City Line, you are advised to use the District Line instead. Barbican, Goldhawk Road, Latimer Road, Royal Oak and Great Portland Street will all be closed.

The Metropolitan Line will be closed due to signalling work. There will be a replacement bus service running between Rickmansworth and Wembley Park.

There will be no Mill East service on the Northern Line while Borough, Goodge Street, Mill Hill East, Mornington Crescent, Totteridge and Whetstone and West Finchley are all closed.

If you are planning to travel on the Piccadilly Line then please note you will not be able to change at Uxbridge and should instead change at Acton Town before midday.

The Victoria Line will be closed due to upgrade works, although there will be a replacement bus service running. The Waterloo and City Line will also be closed.

A Sunday service will operate on all bus routes during Boxing Day.

If you are driving to Stamford Bridge on Boxing Day then please note that, regardless of the bank holiday, normal parking rules will still apply and you are advised to check signs when parking for guidelines.

Also be aware that there are still temporary traffic signals in operation on Goldhawk Road (Hammersmith) at the junction of Stamford Brook Road (B409) to facilitate Thames Water works; there may be delays in northbound and southbound directions.

Two-way traffic is being maintained on Hammersmith Grove between Goldhawk Road (A402) and Beadon Road (A315) in northbound and southbound directions due to Thames Water works.

BT are carrying out work on the junction of North End Road (B317) and Hammersmith Road (A315) which may result in delays in both directions on each road.

There are carriageway restrictions in eastbound and westbound directions at Scotch Corner (Chelsea) on the junction between Knightsbridge (A4) and Brompton Road (A4) due to gas, water and telecommunication works.

There are still northbound restrictions in lane three on Warwick Road (Earls Court) at the junction of Eardley Crescent and Penywern Road due to emergency water works.

If you are travelling from the Wandsworth area then note that Earlsfield Road (Wandsworth) has two way traffic signals in operation between Garratt Lane (A217) and Heathfield Road which may result with delays in northbound and southbound directions.

Kensington High Street (Kensington) is experiencing lane restrictions on its eastbound carriageway between Hornton Street and Kensington Church Street (A4204).

There will be no Overground trains running in or around London on Boxing Day.
