Ahead of tomorrow's Champions League quarter-final second leg we catch up with opponents Fenerbahçe, who won 2-1 in their domestic league at the weekend.

That victory, over Kayserispor, came courtesy of goals from Alex and Semih Senturk, leaving our opponents two points clear at the top of the Turkish league.

Fenerbahçe were last season's Turkish champions, a feat they have achieved in three of the past four seasons.

They qualified from Group G along with Inter Milan, at the expense of CSKA Moscow and PSV Eindhoven. Finishing second, they gained 11 points from their six games, losing just once in the San Siro. At home, Fenerbahçe won all three group games.

They carried this impressive form at the Sukru Saracoglu into the knockout stages with a 3-2 win over Sevilla. The Spaniards reversed that score line in Seville but the Turks ran out winners on penalties.
